How do you trade the opening range breakout?

I have heard about Opening Range Breakout as a popular day trading strategy. How exactly does it work?

Most reliable days for ORB: Monday (fresh weekly move), after major news events. Least reliable: options expiry day, very low volume days. Always confirm with volume — breakout without volume often fails.

ORB: mark the high and low of the first 15 or 30 minutes of trading. When price breaks above the range high with volume, go long. When it breaks below the range low, go short. SL below/above the range.
