NFP is the biggest monthly event for USD pairs. Released first Friday of every month at 8:30am EST. Most experienced traders either close all positions beforehand or wait for the dust to settle.

If NFP beats expectations → USD strengthens (buy USD pairs). If NFP misses → USD weakens. But the actual move depends on context — markets sometimes price in the expected move before release.
