Scalping Strategy: 5-10 Pip Targets with Structure-Based Entries

Effective scalping isn't about speed — it's about having repeatable, high-probability setups with defined targets. Here's my core scalping framework: **Timeframe:** 1-minute chart for execution, 5-minute for structure **Core setup — "Level touch and reject":** 1. Identify a key level on the 5m chart (previous high/low, session pivot, round number) 2. Wait for price to touch the level and form a rejection candle on the 1m 3. Enter on the close of the rejection candle 4. Stop: just beyond the level (5–8 pips) 5. Target: 8–15 pips (ratio: minimum 1:1.2) **Session timing:** Only scalp during active liquidity windows: - London open: 08:00–10:00 GMT - NY open: 13:30–15:30 GMT - Avoid: 12:00–13:00 GMT (dead zone), Asian session (spreads too wide) **Execution rules:** - Use limit orders, not market orders — slippage kills scalping - ECN/STP broker only — market makers requote during fast moves - Maximum 5 trades per session — quality over quantity What's your typical scalping win rate and do you track it per session?
