S&P 500 weekly recap — a frustrating but instructive week. Monday: Long ES at 5,220, targeting 5,280. Hit TP perfectly — +60 points, solid result. Great start. Wednesday: Got overconfident, sized up to 2 lots on a Nasdaq long at 18,050. CPI data came in hot and knocked NQ from 18,050 to 17,850 in 30 minutes. My stop at 17,960 was hit — significant loss. Friday: Back to normal size, short S&P at 5,275 ahead of the close. Price went sideways and I closed flat. Net week: Positive from Monday, erased partially by Wednesday. Still a green week but not what it should have been. Lesson: Winning Monday trade → overconfidence → oversized Wednesday trade → partial loss. The market loves to humble you after a good day. Pre-define your size limits and DON'T override them regardless of how well recent trades went. Anyone else struggle with position sizing after a strong win?
