Psychology journal — a week that tested me. Monday: Lost -1.2R on a valid GBP/USD setup that just didn't work. Fine. Tuesday: Lost again -0.8R. Setup was valid. Market was choppy. Still fine. Wednesday: Down -0.9R on a third consecutive loss. Here's where it got interesting. I felt the revenge trading impulse — strong. "Three losses in a row means the market owes me a win." I sat at my desk for 30 minutes looking for a trade that wasn't there. I recognized what I was doing. Logged off at 11 AM. Went for a walk. Thursday: Entered one trade (EUR/USD long from demand zone). Clean setup. +1.8R. Friday: One more trade. +1.4R. Net week: -1.2R, -0.8R, -0.9R, +1.8R, +1.4R = +0.3R for the week. Lesson: The Wednesday walk was the most profitable decision of the week. Not trading when you're frustrated, while it feels like failure, is actually the hardest and most important skill in trading. Have you ever walked away from your screen mid-session? Was it the right call?
