London–NY Overlap: Most Profitable Window in Forex?

The 13:00–17:00 GMT window — where London and New York are both active — is widely considered the most liquid and volatile period in the forex market. But is "most volatile" the same as "most profitable"? That depends heavily on your style. Scalpers love the spread compression and volume. Swing traders may prefer to avoid the noise. Day traders who don't trade US hours sometimes miss the full context of moves that start in London and resolve in New York.
