ICT Optimal Trade Entry (OTE): The High-Probability ICT Fibonacci Setup

The ICT Optimal Trade Entry (OTE) is a specific application of Fibonacci retracements that identifies the highest probability entry zone within an ICT swing. **What is the OTE?** After a displacement move (strong impulsive candle sequence), the OTE is the 61.8%–79% Fibonacci retracement of that move — the zone where smart money adds to their positions before the next leg runs. **Setup steps:** 1. Identify an impulsive displacement move 2. Draw Fibonacci from the swing low to swing high (for bullish moves) 3. The OTE zone = 61.8% to 79% retracement level 4. Within this zone, look for a bullish FVG, OB, or liquidity sweep for entry trigger **Entry:** Inside the OTE zone on a trigger signal **Stop Loss:** Below the swing low (for longs) — the swing low should not be violated **Take Profit:** The swing high, then projected extension targets **Risk/Reward:** Typically 1:3–1:6 because you're entering deep in the retracement **Why it works in ICT context:** The OTE zone is where institutional traders who missed the initial move add their positions. Their buying creates the support that launches the next leg. Do you use OTE entries in your ICT setup workflow?
