How do I manage overnight risk in index futures?

Overnight risks: US market moves, geopolitical news, corporate results after hours. Manage with: smaller position size, defined SL, and hedging with options (buy put for long futures).

I never hold index futures overnight without an option hedge. The cost of buying a put as insurance is worth the peace of mind and protection from gap-down openings.
