Do You Prefer Trading the NY Open or the NY Afternoon Session?

There's a big difference in character between the NY open (9:30–11:00 EST) and the NY afternoon (11:00 AM–4:00 PM EST). The open has more volatility and bigger moves, but also more false breakouts and stop hunts. The afternoon has cleaner, more predictable technical setups but smaller moves. I know experienced traders who exclusively trade 11 AM–2 PM EST because it's the "sweet spot" — enough volume for directional moves but without the chaotic open noise. Which part of the NY session is most profitable for you, and has this changed over time as you've grown as a trader?
